Updated Race Details: Barrow Ranking Race Sun26th Sep.

This weekend see the 4th Ranking Race of the season. Kilcullen Canoe Clubs annual Ballymore Eustace to Kilcullen race could not go ahead due to river conditions on the Liffey. As a result the race was moved to the Barrow & is being run by Kilcullen CC & Athy Rowing & Canoeing (ARC). Full details in notice below.

Due to low water on the Barrow the course had to be changed from the one originally advertised. It is now set to start & finish at ARC, Athy. Medium course will be run from ARC up to Bert bridge (4km upstream) and back down to turn at the bridge in Athy before finishing at the ARC clubhouse (9Km)The long course is two laps of the same course (18 Km)The novice/short course will go the opposite direction to do 2 laps of a stretch between the clubhouse and the Horse Bridge (2nd bridge downstream). This will give us 4 Km.
There are no weirs or rapids on the course & the river is suitable for Underslung (and deep enough for Skis).

Well done to Kilcullen CC & ARC for altering the course to accunt for the low water conditions so the event can still go ahead. Online entry link is below.
