1st Race of 2020 – Belturbet Marathon July 4th

With the start of the 2020 season delayed due to COVID restrictions we are finally ready to get back racing.The first ranking race of 2020 is to be the Belturbet Race Saturday July 4th 1:00 pm being hosted by Cavan Canoe Club. For the moment racing will be for single boats only in divisions 1-7 . No crew boats. No novice races. Participants must be able to self rescue. Online entry has been setup (link below) & is the preferred entry method. Entries can be made on the day but are subject to an additional €5 surcharge. COVID-19 Guidelines will be in place and social distancing is to be observed both pre & post race.

Bring your travel mug, cup etc. – Unfortunately this year the prizegiving will not be in the Seven Horseshoes – BUT, there will be soup & sandwiches at the jetty after the race, very kindly provided by the Seven Horseshoes Hotel. Water and fruit post race supplied by Donohoe’s Centra Belturbet.
