Salmon Leap Canoe Club Race Weekend – Ribadesella Ranking Race & K2 National Championships

Salmon Leap Canoe Club are holding a weekend of racing on the 24/25th August 2019.

Saturday 24th Ribadesella Ranking Race. All divisions and novices welcome.

Registration opens at 10:30. Last registration at 12:00

Div 1 and 2 – 20km – 5 laps of the lake
Div 3/K2 – 12km – 3 laps of the lake
Div 4,5,6 – 8km – 2 laps of the lake
Div 7 (U15) – 4km – 1 lap of the lake
Canoe Class – 8km – 2 laps of the lake
Novice race – 1.5km – 1 lap of a marked course
Novice Race starts at 12:00
All other races start at 13:00 with briefing on the water at 12:45

Registration:

Junior/Student/Unwaged – €10
Seniors – €20
K2/C2 – €30
Family – €45

Reminder – For any paddlers new to marathon racing 2019 sees an introductory offer of a €10 entry fee for their 1st 2 races of the season.

Following the racing we will be holding a BBQ for all participants and spectators.

Sunday 25th in partnership with the Canoe Ireland Marathon Committee, we will host the National K2 Championships. Details of this race including fees & schedule can be found at https://www.facebook.com/events/687054681794571/

We would love to see you there for both days for what promises to be a fun packed weekend. We have limited camping space available for those travelling and who want to stay overnight.
