Irish Team For European Canoe Marathon Championships

The Paddle Europe Marathon European Championships are due to take place in Pitesti, Romania from 25th June to 28th June. With selection events being ran over the last few months, the finalised team is as below.

Short Course

• SMK1: Paul Donnellan + Ben Higgins
• U18MK1: Sean Smyth + Jake Witek
• U18WK1: Caoilin Caffrey + Emily Donnellan

Long Course

• SMK1: Paul Donnellan + Ben Higgins
• U18MK1: Sean Smyth + Sean Noud
• U18WK1: Caoilin Caffrey + Emily Donnellan
• U18MK2: Sean Smyth + Sean Noud

The team consists of 4 Athletes racing Marathon for the Country for the 1st time, along with 3 athletes returning to the team from previous years.

The Elites event is preceded by the Masters and Paracanoe events from 12st June to the 24th June.
