Belfast Canoe Clubs Lower Bann Ranking Race on this weekend

This Sunday sees the running of the 2nd race of  2019 Ribadesella Ranking series. Belfast Canoe Clubs race runs on the Lower Bann, starting at Portna Lock. The Race is also part of the Waterways Ireland Series which will see a trophy presented to the club with the most podium places. To reduce queuing on the day advanced registration can be done by emailing belfastcanoeclub@gmail.com . This race will be a selection race for National Marathon team to compete at the European Championships in France in July. Selection is required for both Senior & Junior mens. Seniors who have registered for selection must race Division 1 while Juniors must race Division 2. With 7 Divisions there is a race to be had for everyone. A reminder that for 2019 in an effort to introduce new paddlers or paddlers from other disciplines to come and try Marathon racing ,we have a €10 entry fee for any paddler who has not raced before. This fee applies to their 1^st 2 races of the ranking season regardless if is the 1^st 2 or last 2 races of 2019. Also there is  a price cap of €30 on entries for all doubles (K2/T2 & Canadian) for 2019.
