2018 World Marathon Championships
Well done to all the Irish in the Masters races at the world championships. Some great results across the different age groups. Results below:

Malcom Banks – 7th,
Digger – 9th,
Declan Halton – 14th
Dave McDonnell – 15th
Jim Morrissey – 18th
Eddie Martin – 21st
Over the next few day a very strong team will compete in the Junior & Senior events with a number of medal hopefuls. Tomorrow sees the Junior races kick off with Kate McCarthy racing in the Girls race in the morning. In the afternoon Ronan Foley & Matt McCartney race in the boys race. Ronan will be one of the favorites after wining both the World Cup & European Championships this year Friday will see Matt & Ronan pair up in the Junior K2 race. Saturday the Senior races kick of with Jenny Egan looking once again to get on the podium and continue her good form which got her a World Championship Bronze medal in the 5000m race 2 weeks ago. In the Mens race the Irish interest continues with World Cup Silver medalist Barry Watkins racing. He is joined in the Mens race by Jon Simmons.
