2026 Marathon Season kicks off this weekend with the Slaney Descent

This weekend sees the kick off of the race season with the Slaney Descent. This is a non ranking race K2/T2 race only & is suitable for experienced river paddlers.

Sunday the 5th April sees the kick off of the Ribadasella Ranking Season with the Celbridge Paddlers race being the opener. April is a busy month 2 more ranking races on the Boyne (18th) & Barrow (25th) along with the return of Kilcullen Canoe Clubs Ballymore Eustace to Kilcullen race on the Liffey which is a non-ranking race this year & runs on April 12th.
